All Elite Wrestling (AEW) continues its road to Revolution (and in turn, ROH Supercard of Honor) Wednesday night as they hail from the Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, Tex.
Mark Briscoe v. Josh Woods
ROH World Tag Team Champion Mark Briscoe will be in action against Josh Woods. A segment during Friday’s Rampage showed Woods’ manager “Smart” Mark Sterling trying to recruit Briscoe into his faction. When he said he wasn’t interested, Woods got in his face. This would set the match for Dynamite.
This marks the first meeting of the two fighters in AEW. It marks the third overall meeting of both wrestlers, the others emanating from Ring of Honor.
The first meeting was in June 2019 on the second night of ROH’s State of the Art show, which saw Briscoe win in an 11-minute battle. They would meet again at ROH Unauthorized five months later, with another Briscoe victory in an eight-minute match.
Texas Tornado match
The Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli) will face off against Preston Vance and Rush of La Facción Ingobernable in a Texas Tornado tag team match.
Other matches and promos
Other matches set to take place include Brian Cage taking on Jungle Boy Jack Perry and Hangman Page vs. Kip Sabian. Page was cutting a promo about his recent match against Moxley when Sabian came up to Hangman and taunted him. Cage confronted Jungle Boy Jack Perry on Friday’s show after Perry defeated Ryan Nemeth.
Orange Cassidy, The Acclaimed, and Billy Gunn will team up to take on Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh, and Sonjay Dutt following an angle that took place at the end of Rampage. The latter team had attacked Orange Cassidy when The Acclaimed came out to make the save.
A three-way match was also added to Dynamite, with Toni Storm facing Ruby Soho and Britt Baker.
Jim Ross will conduct an interview with Wardlow, and Renee Paquette will have a sit-down with Adam Cole. MJF is also slated to appear on the show.
