As we near mid-November, many UFL fans are still wondering when the league will release the schedules for the 2025 season.
So, what do we know currently and how soon could the schedule drop?
What we know
All teams are returning in 2025, no team relocations or expansion teams planned
All eight teams from the inaugural UFL season will be returning to action this upcoming spring.
However, anyone hoping for the return of any former USFL or XFL team (or any former UFL team from previous iterations) may have to hold off those hopes for another season.
No team relocations are planned either, according to UFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Daryl Johnston.
Johnston said that ticket sales in poorer-selling markets could still improve by showing stability and following a more “traditional offseason calendar.”
The Houston Roughnecks are returning to TDECU Stadium
After spending the 2024 UFL season at Rice Stadium, the Houston Roughnecks are returning to familiar grounds at TDECU Stadium on the campus of the University of Houston.
The team was unable to use TDECU Stadium in 2024 due to stadium renovations. The team played at TDECU Stadium during the 2020 revival and 2023 post-pandemic relaunch of the now-former XFL.
St. Louis Battlehawks to host six home games
Fans of the St. Louis Battlehawks would be pleased by the announcement in August that the team would be hosting six home games in the 2025 season.
This announcement wasn’t nearly as exciting for the San Antonio Brahmas, as they will have to travel to the Gateway City for two road games.
That announcement came as the result of major event commitments (and a new phase of renovations) for the Alamodome during April, May, and June.
League President Russ Brandon hinted that the league had considered alternative venues for the Brahmas to play in within the San Antonio metropolitan area, but decided against it, citing “very complex operational concerns.”
The Michigan Panthers are staying put in Detroit
The Michigan Panthers will remain in Detroit for the 2025 season following an undisclosed deal signed on October 29.
The Panthers’ previous lease on Ford Field expired at the end of the 2024 season, which would force a delay in season ticket sales.
UFL teams know their opponents for 2025
A press release from the league in early October revealed each team’s opponents for the upcoming season with bold-italicized teams denoting conference games.

What we don’t know
The biggest challenge for UFL fans and the sports media is not knowing the 2025 schedule. Despite many promises and statements from the league, nothing has been made certain about this upcoming season.
It could be later this fall or during this winter before the schedules are announced.
